The committee have agreed that some newsletters will be published for public view - this means that you do not have to be logged into the members area to view them.  With a tab on the website for speedy access, the committee hope this will encourage engagement with the content. 

Confidential newsletters will remain in the members area.

Wine & Spirit Transportation - A Home Office Consultation Impacting Members

The WSTA have contacted the NCDA with regard to a consultation that concerns age verification requirements when delivering alcohol. 

It closes on 28 March and can be found here and may impact some of our membership.

Sunset and Sunrise Safer Driving 

As spring approaches we enter the time of "weird light" -  it’s not entirely light and it’s not entirely dark either. 

This is a time of day (or two times a day) when many accidents frequently happen. So just a few friendly reminders for driver safety.

  1.  Use your visor to block out some of the sun.
  2. Keep sunglasses within arm’s reach.
  3. Look as far ahead on the road as possible. 
  4. Slow down & keep more distance between vehicles.
  5. Put your lights on. 

National Living Wage

Don't forget the increase to £11.44 per hour for workers over 21 from April 2024.
