MEMBER FOCUS - WINCHURCH TRANSPORT
Here at the NCDA, we value our member businesses who collaborate and make the association what it is today.
In the hotseat this month is Louise from Winchurch Transport, a member of the NCDA since 2022, From same day transport to fulfilment, read about Winchurch’s journey here
Q: What services do you provide at Winchurch Transport?
We offer same day transport, warehousing and fulfilment.

Q: Do you have any strange delivery stories/encounters from your time at Winchurch Transport?
We don't have any strange stories, apart from the occasional dinosaur transportation and giant corks!
But the deliveries we really love are the panicked phone calls from people who have left their passports at home and are at the airport, then the race is on!!
Q: What benefits has your NCDA membership brought to Winchurch Transport?
The NCDA are always my first port of call!
We inter-trade regularly between other members, both ways, getting jobs and giving jobs out, which is what I think everyone would agree on is that what we all want to do most, helping each other out especially in this current hard climate!
As we are small business funds are limited, so we find the benefits a massive draw to being a member. We use Quest for our HR documents and Credit safe to check our existing and potential customers.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the logistics sector?
We enjoy the fact that no two days are the same! Meeting people who have the same business ethos.

Q: What is something unexpected about Winchurch Transport?
We have taken an unconventional approach to corporate social responsibility by sponsoring yaks to transport goods in Nepal’s mountainous regions.
This initiative supports traditional Himalayan practices and aids local communities by utilizing yaks, which have been integral to life in the Himalayas for centuries due to their ability to navigate challenging terrains with heavy loads. By backing this method, Winchurch Transport contributes to preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable transport solutions in areas inaccessible to vehicles.
Q: If you could have dinner with 5 people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

David Attenborough
For his nature programs, it would be so interesting to hear all his stories.

Queen Elizabeth (II)
To talk to the longest reigning monarch.

David Bowie
For his music, style and creativity

Robin Williams
For the non-stop laugher and difference voices

Antony Bourdain
For the top tier food and wild travel stories

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, and you could only bring three things with you, what would you bring and why?
We would take a solar powered speaker and charger- got to have good vibes, a hammock for comfort and a never ending cooler of drinks and snacks
